Monadnock Public Gymnasts

Pre-K and Kindergarten Classes

are for 3- to 5-year olds, who are ready to be in a class with mommy watching but not directly participating. Gymnasts are introduced to the gym equipment that is their size.

Elementary Classes

are one-hour classes beginning with 15 minutes of warm-up, followed by 35 minutes of instruction on equipment, ending with 10 minutes of parent/gymnast instruction.

Elementary II Classes

are based on a 1 1/2 hour class beginning with 20 minutes of warm-up, followed by 1 hour of instruction on equipment, ending with 10 minutes of conditioning. Enrollment in this class is at the coaches' discretion.

Mommy and Me

is for 2- to 3-year olds with their mothers. This is a one-hour class that includes games and activities to help promote strength and flexibility.

Boys Team is for boys who may want to eventually compete USAG. Practices are twice a week, 2 hours per session. Team membership is by invitation/try-out only. Please speak to the head coach to arrange a try-out.		Girls Competition Team is for girls who are ready to compete and who are competing USAG and/or AAU leagues. Practice is three- to four 3 hour sessions per week, depending on level. By invitation/try-out only.

Tumble-Cheer Classes

are classes where the focus is on cheerleading and floor skills only. Classes include 15 minutes warm-up and 45 minutes of floor instruction.

History:
Monadnock Public Gymnasts began in 1993 with a summer program in Peterborough, NH. The program has continued to grow, year by year, with classes held in Antrim, Dublin, Greenfield, Hancock, and finally at our own facility today, in Greenfield,NH.

Philosophy:
At Monadnock Public Gymnasts we strive to have fun while building self-esteem through gymnastics. The skills are taught in a developmental progression, in a fun and safe environment.

For gymnasts who choose to compete, we work to give them the opportunity and skills to achieve their goals, through the USAG and AAU leagues, participating in meets throughout New England.

The goal of Monadnock Public Gymnasts has been and continues to be, to provide area children with a quality gymnastics program at an affordable cost.

The head coach, Alison Wozmak, began coaching gymnastics over 20 years ago, when her high school team (Conval Regional HS, Peterborough NH) was short a coach, and her younger sister was on the squad. So she gave it a go, training under head coach Barry Costa.
As Alison continued her own schooling, earning bachelors and Masters degrees in Early Childhood Education, she kept coming back to gymnastics. While she taught elementary school in Stockbridge Ma, she also started a tumble/gymnastics class for the kids. After moving back to the Monadnock region in the early nineties, she started what was to become Monadnock Public Gymnasts, an open-to-all, affordable gymnastics program for those who would otherwise never have a chance to take gymnastics.

Today, Monadnock Public Gymnasts is a 5600 sq foot facility in Greenfield, NH.
